Pastry chefs create Lima city chocolate sculpture

Lima, Dec. 13 (ANDINA). Renowned pastry chefs created a delicious and impressive chocolate sculpture of Lima city. Patissiers used more than 200 kilograms (440 lbs) of Peruvian chocolate to make such a nice Christmas gift within a period of three months.


La Ciudad de los Reyes or The City of Kings is a handmade chocolate piece of work made by JW Marriot Hotel Lima to the delight and amazement of children and adults at Christmas time. Sweet sculpture will be on display until January 5, 2011.

Renowned chef Valery Schroth and 13 pastry experts created handmade chocolate piece of work.


Pastry experts have put all their talent into this chocolate replica made out of over 440 lbs of chocolate, which features the colonial and modern style of architecture made up of 1.70 centimeters long and 2.10 centimeters wide pieces.

“Our work took three months to complete” said renowned chef Valery Schroth who, along with other 13 pastry experts, created this handmade chocolate piece of work.
